Today is the second official week of school, which means that there are only 13 weeks left of school for this semester (alright!). I like being able to count down, as if the time seems all that shorter. Thankfully, this week is a lot more organized and relaxing compared to last week. The homework seems more manageable, and I don't have to worry as much about the nitty gritty things.
I'm thankful to have spent a lovely summer, visiting friends and relaxing. The beginning of the summer seemed to be difficult. I got sick twice this summer and I had a concussion that put me out for another 2 weeks. I guess I spent almost a whole month being totally not good. Yet, when I got better, I was able to enjoy life again the way it is supposed to be enjoyed I think. Yet, in those times of sickness, it was so difficult, but when I recovered I could relate much better with people who were sick (even when I was well).
I am sad to hear of my friends loss of course. I couldn't quite believe it, but God is faithful, so we will trust him.
I went to a church service yesterday, a new church I've never been to before. We studied the book of Malachi in the first chapter. The most pertinent parts of the service for me was these things: "God is going to finish his job, so we need to finish ours" and also during a song we sang it was talking about "What if we could live like that"- and it challenged me to think- because I realized that the things I say, don't always reflect my inner motives- and what if I could live like what I talk - more often.. how would that change me and my walk with God?
:) So today, I want to share with you just that tid bit... nothing more just something to have you think about with me.
:)
