Change-Up!

Today is the first day- the first day of new things.

I'm not quite sure what it holds- but I'm excited- nonetheless- to be on a new pathway with new trees and stones and butterflies and birds. :)

My last day of working was on Friday- and today is Monday and of course, I have no work to attend today.
I am hoping to perhaps get into school this Semester- even though classes start today- I dropped off my last document at the University today- and so now is just a time to wait and see what happens. I would be coming in late- with make-up work, but I'm not afraid of that; I know I could catch up rather quickly.
I suppose until I find out what will or will not become, I need to stick to my previous list of cleaning the house and making dishes and reading and sorts- I would be a fan of taking the dogs to the park and such.
However, I do hope I get into school. I can't explain how young I felt again- for the first time in- it seriously feels like forever- did I feel actual youth again when I walked in to drop my document off at the Unviersity. Lately, I have felt so old- so aged- and for a woman who is 21 years old, I'd have to say that's quite sad. Lol! :)

I think though, it is the lack of direction and the mundane job I was in that had a big part to do with that- I felt like I was fifty-five along with the rest of everyone there!
So, I was excited to feel young again, to have the spark of youth and vitality- it was a wonderful feeling- and I'm blessed to have felt that today- even for the five or ten minutes that it lasted.

The Pastor at our church gave a wonderful sermon yesterday titled "As His Custom was". It was based off of Acts 17:2 which reads:

"As his custom was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures"

It was basically about how Paul made it his custom to go to the synagogue and basically to encourage us what is our custom- he also made a point how even though Paul often times was not applauded for preaching there, Paul felt he needed to be there where the people were- and how the synagogue actually needed Paul- more than Paul needed the synagogue. So, it made me think about the next time before I decide to condemn a church sermon or such, I will think of Paul, and remember his reasoning and such for being at the synagogue was for God's sake- and not his own.

Also, I found though that it was also Jesus custom in Luke 4:16

"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read."-

:-) Anywho! That's all the reporting for today- the only new things I made this week was a Chocolate chip canolli-- and I made some butterscotch cookies yesterday (but I've made those before)! :)

My best wishes to you!

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Matthew 22:36-40
