What an exciting time!!
This year was the first year EVER that I actually watched the opening ceremony! - and BOY, was it quite the surprise! It was so exciting to see all of the different countries represented, their country flags and their people! I was a little disappointed by the uniforms that the USA chose.. I found them quite generic and nothing too special for such a great event- however- it was still enjoyable!
Russia did an amazing spectacular performance of putting together an AMAZING light show production including so many different elements of their Russian history- including world war 2 and their independence as well as tying in cultural elements such as ballet productions - music from swan lake- and so much more!
Although, I wasn't personally at the game, I was able to take pictures of the Olympics on my phone while watching the TV! :) and I believe they turned out just beautiful! Please enjoy...
AND MAY THE BEST WIN (because of course, they will!) !!! :)

I think it's so cool that you got pictures of each of your favorite countries!! The Olympics are so much fun. I wish I could watch more of it but I've luckily been able to see some figure skating and snowboarding. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying them so far too!!!
btw... the one picture of the mysterious circle/light display reminds me of an eye. ??? Curious, indeed!
ReplyDeleteLOL! That's very interesting what you said about it being an eye-- my mother thought that as well! It may have some significance.. interesting!! :D
ReplyDeleteYes! Snowboarding is pretty rad.. did you see the 15 year old Russian girl ice skate.. she's amazing.. she definitely needs to win it all :)
